Dear Guests and Residents of our city! This year, two festive venues are preparing to welcome Homelites and guests of the city – on Lenin Square and on the embankment. Each location will be filled to the maximum so that you can comfortably spend time with the whole family or a friendly company, warm up with hot tea and coffee, and have a snack. It will be possible to do this in special cabins and food trucks of Gomel public catering. Summer cafes on the embankment will open their doors during the New Year holidays.The section from Nemo to Lebyazhy Pond with a length of more than 800 meters will be decorated in retro style with special flashlights. There will be a stage at the beginning of the embankment, and the feature of this location will be a live Christmas tree, also decorated in retro style.
An ice rink with an area of 1,000 square meters will be located on the central square around the Christmas tree. Other details have also become known. For those who come with their skates, admission to the rink will be free. Paid skate rental and sharpening will also be available.
Above the ice rink, a special illumination – the starry sky – will create a mood for skaters, and projectors will project fabulous figures onto its surface.
Traditionally, the symbol of the new year will be placed on the square. The city executive committee clarified that they tried to make the Snake "kind." So you can safely take pictures near the architectural form.
